Background to Membership

Long-time subscribers to Glass News will remember that originally the subscription included only the newsletter. Several years ago we took the step of inviting subscribers (at no additional cost) to become personal Members of the Association for the History of Glass. The privilages of Membership include attending and participating in AGMs and any Special General Meetings, taking part in the election of Board members, and offering themselves for election.

We are delighted to say that most of our subscribers have taken advantage of this offer and are now personal Members of AHG.

Joining the AHG

All current subscriptions became due for renewal by the end of 2007, so if you are an existing member or subscriber and you wish to ensure that you receive the next Glass News, please subscribe now for the calendar year 2008. This subscription will include Glass News issues 23 (published in January) and 24 (to be published in July).

If you are not currently a member or subscriber and you would like to become more involved in the work of the Association we would of course welcome your application and subscription!

 Subscription

The subscription for the year 2007 is set at £5 (five pounds), whether you wish to be a Member receiving Glass News as a right of membership, or simply a subscriber wishing to receive Glass News without obligation. The price includes postage, UK or abroad - airmail where appropriate. Overseas subscribers may find it simplest and cheapest to send the equivalent in currency notes -five GB pounds, ten US dollars or ten euros. Invoices and/or receipts can be provided on request.
